Carnell Chosa has been engaged in community engagement, social justice and organizing work for over twenty-five years and serves as the Founder and Director of the Attach Your Heart Foundation.
Carnell has served on the boards of the Native American Advised Fund at the Santa Fe Community Foundation, Wheelwright Museum, Santa Fe International Folk Art Market, Center for Global Cultural Entrepreneurship, Chamiza Foundation, Walatowa Charter High School, Three Sisters Kitchen, Cornerstones Community Partnerships, and the New Mexico State Library Foundation. His recent participation as a W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network Fellow inspired him to take action and turn his career long passion and vision to create the Attach Your Heart Foundation. He apprenticed at the Chamiza Foundation under the L.E.A.D. Fellowship with First Nations Development Institute and was an Ambassador through Americans for Indian Opportunity.
Carnell received his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College, a master’s from Harvard University, and his doctorate from Arizona State University. He enjoys fruit tree growing, cooking, silversmithing, weaving and quality time with family and friends.
